Simon grew up in the New Forest in Hampshire and studied architecture at Sheffield University, but has lived and worked in Gloucestershire in recent years.
He has exhibited widely in a variety of settings, including gallery, theatre, art centre, museum and church contexts. His work has been shown with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and in the Royal Watercolour Society Contemporary Watercolour exhibition.
He is currently studying for an MA in Fine Art at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design.
His work is informed by his background in architecture. His work is largely figurative, with a strong emphasis on drawing. Simon uses a variety of mainly traditional media, including graphite, watercolour and acrylic.
