Les finds inspiration in the life and buildings of the City of London, having worked there for many years. It is impossible not to be impressed by the area’s rapid change, providing so many opportunities to record history in the making.
Les works in pen and wash on location to capture the moment. He has trained at the Royal Drawing School, exploring perspectives at St Paul’s Cathedral and Liverpool Street Station.
Les is a member of the Drawing London Group, Chairman of the Friends of the Royal Watercolour Society and Council Member of the Lloy’s Art Group. Les was elected to the SGFA Council in 2013, and to the position of Vice President in 2015.
