Initially a self-taught artist, I have been accepting commissions for my work since my teens. I have had a varied career, including working as a photographer and helping to run a small PR company. I gained a degree in fine art at St Martin’s College, Lancaster in 2007. Prior to my degree course, I spent a year studying textile and surface design at the University of Bolton. I now work as an artist and illustrator from my home studio situated in the picturesque village of Borwick in North Lancashire.
I am inspired by a love of drawing, the process of mark making and seeing shape, form and texture appear. I use various media, including gouache, watercolour, pencil crayon and pen and ink.
