After retiring as a computer programmer, I did a five year part-time BA Hons in Fine Art at SIAD (now University of Creative Arts). After that I continued to produce work, some painting, but mainly printmaking. As my other interest is climbing and mountaineering, most of my art is based on wild mountain and coastal landscapes, usually in Scotland or Iceland, but also, more recently, in Spitsbergen. I attend classes in etching at the City and Guilds of London Art School, and have also done courses in stone lithography with Paul Croft and Simon Burder.
